It's a big week of netball for Hunter

It has been a big week of netball this week, with both Metro League teams and Hunter Boys taking to the courts this week.

Hunter Netball Team 2

Hunter Netball Team 2 were the first to hit the courts this week, and it was a tough game on the court, Coach Lexi Unicomb said, unfortunately it was not our night. With Hunter Netball going down against Inner West 36 to 54.

Unicomb said, Our first half wasn’t executed the way we trained and played catch up for the rest of the game. We weren’t in control, we threw to many balls away and didn’t capitalise on our turnovers. We go back to the drawing board at training and work on the errors we made.

Hunter Netball Team 1

Then on Thursday night it was Hunter Netball Team 1 turn to take to the courts in what was the local derby between the Hunter and Central Coast Heart.

Hunter came out with a strong first quarter, with Central Coast clawing back the lead by half time. Central Coast shifted a gear in the second half and Hunter couldn't quite get back into the lead going down 46 to 35.

Boys Junior State Titles

But it is the Hunter Boys who have really shined this week on day one of their two day Junior State Titles experience. Ending day one in a close second place, having a great day with 4 wins, 1 draw and a loss to ladder leader Liverpool Netball Association.

This really was a great way to start the State Titles
